A computer is a machine that handles data.Data are facts that are gathered and entered into the computer.The computer stores,retrieves,sends,receives,analyzes and synthesizes,that data to produce information.Information is any collection of word ,numbers and symbols organized so that it is meaningful to the person using it.

Data are generated by many sources.The computer organizes the data from many sources and turns them into information that can be applied in making decision and solving problems.
